40. LnH - Arrival - This Is Not An Ordinary Event

Evergreen Hills was invited to a cross country event and Evelyn said, she'd like to compete there with Nora. Nobody had something against Evelyns wish and so she was going to that event.
It was Noras first event and she was quite excited, yet a bit nervous. They wanted to take part at this event without any tack, since Nora usually worked much better without a heavy saddle and bridle, which she absolutely did not allow again on her. Evelyn found a nice little guesthouse where she could stay for some days. If everything was working how she planned, she'd wait some more days for Haru and the Outlaw Trail to finish and they could go home together.

Evelyn got Noras beautiful new blanket and got on her horses back. She moved her horse into the forest and was eager to get to the event, Nora pricked her ears and got nervous.
"You won't get buck fever, won't you?" Evelyn smiled and stroke along Noras neck.
The mare shook her head and snorted, but moved on.
"Shouldn't we allready have arrive by now?" Evelyn said more to herself.

"Did you have something for me?" Haru asked Rico when he hanged up the telephone.
"No... she's still missing. A horse and its rider, completly disappeared." he answered with sad tone in his voice.
Haru cursed silently and looked out of the window. It was now a week since Evelyn was missing. No sign, no message was left of her. Resno first guessed that she ran away with Nora, but why would she leave her other horses here? No, Haru thought, there was another reason for her disappearance.
"I'll be damned, if we'll not find her..." Haru whispered.
